INTRODUCTION
Alleyway is my first production, a trap track built around a heavy electric guitar. It's about fighting back against oppression and the people who don't believe in you.
PRODUCTION & MASTERING
I started with the guitar, a VST pushed hard in the front of the mix to carry the song’s aggression. Then I built the drums around it, working to keep the guitar and 808 from clashing in the low mids. As my first song, I learned as I went, from melodies to headroom to layering. After about four months, I had a balanced version.
